Last Thursday evening our family went down to a local pub to support the Bark 'n Blue fundraiser for the Green Bay Police Department's K-9 unit. It was a beautiful evening to enjoy dinner by the river, live music and watch police K-9's tear into "bad guys".
The only problem with this evening...it wasn't Friday.
Dinner by the river.
Jackson petting one of the K-9's. I was a little timid letting him do this since I had just watched this take down demonstration.....
This was awesome to see! These dogs are relentless!!!

The other meal we enjoyed with the animals was the annual Breakfast on the Farm. June is dairy month so most Wisconsin counties have a host farm who puts on a breakfast for the public and shows off the workings of their farm. I love this idea, it drives home the concept of where food really comes from. I am convinced that the friends we went with are superheroes. Besides their son, who is Jackson's age, they forged ahead on the farm with their 2 year old twin girls in a double stroller, in 90 degree humid heat.
We had a nice time with friends and the kids were in farm heaven.
Nothing needs to be said, this is just funny.
The family enjoying the hay ride to the farm.
Jackson and his buddy getting ready to harvest...or just make trouble.
I'm a bit of a sucker for animals. This was as much fun for me as it was Jackson.
Jackson petting a ferret. Not one of my favorite animals...they stink! Bring on the hand sanitizer!!!
Breakfast on the farm. Lots and lots of dairy products!

This is just a random photo from Saturday night. We headed out to the Timber Rattlers baseball game with friends. It was Star Wars night. I told Jackson to go stand by R2D2. His response, "Who's that?"
I have failed as a parent.
