What is it about watching a movie from your car that makes the drive-in so much fun? Maybe it's simply the novelty of it. Whatever it is, fun was had last weekend when I took Chris and Jackson to their first drive-in movie theater to see Madagascar 3. The drive-in in Freedom was excellent! They catered to families and even pets! Yep, that's right, even Maggee was allowed to come, and she was surprisingly good despite her neurotic nature. The early evening was a bit warm but with the movie not starting until 8:45 PM the sweltering heat was toned down by the time the show started. Until then we had plenty to keep us busy. This place has volleyball, mini-golf, swing sets, basketball, sports bar, a concessions area with your typical movie fare, and lots of space for kids and pets to run. This was a dynamite night that we'll definitely repeat in the future!
