Saturday I found sanity in a 7-mi treadmill run at the Y. And then we all enjoyed getting out and heading to Appleton so Jackson could fort build with his Grandpa while Chris and I did some shopping. Sunday I had volunteered to help the Village of Howard at their first E-Recycling event for the community. For 4 hours I stood in the pouring rain taking electronics out of cars, piecing them apart and throwing them into their respective dumpsters. I felt good about volunteering but when we had to relocate a couple pallets for fear they would be carried away by the stormwater runoff I had to wonder what in the hell I was doing there.
All in all an OK weekend. Lots of cooking, cleaning and rough housing inside. I'm antsy though to get out on the trail for a run. I should have just gone in the rain...
Crazy, indoor time.
And sometimes you go outside and play even if it is raining. He asked to go out I said what the heck and gave him kitchen items and watched his imagination do the rest.
Pouring water IN the umbrella....that kind of defeats the purpose but who cares!
