Worth the Wait

I was looking forward to today all week because Jackson and I got to spend a good chunk of the day together, just the two of us. Not that I don't love it when Chris is around but it's fun to have the one-on-one time with him. Jackson must have been looking forward to the day too. He woke up at 4:30 am when Chris left to go hang tree stands in Waupaca. That was fine, we just started our fun before the sun was up. Today was one of those days I'll replay over and over in my mind. Jackson was such a good boy, laughing, running, playing, and being a ham to boot. Even the YMCA daycare staff commented on how he was talking and laughing the entire hour he was there. While at the farmer's market he insisted on telling everyone "hello!", "hi!" or "good-bye!". I took him on a jog in the jogging stroller around lunch and he finally gave in and fell asleep. Chris got home earlier than planned so he was able to spend the later afternoon with us so we set up Jackson's pool and had some fun. Even until the the time I put him down for bed he was still laughing and smiling. What a great day!
