It's all about having fun.

This was definitely a weekend for having fun. To start things off, Jackson capped off his last indoor soccer game by scoring 3 goals. The only thing that that could top that is playing with his buddies. We spent the better part of a gorgeous afternoon outside at a b-day party for one of Jackson's friends. Chris and I are friends with the parents of two of the children so we hung out and partook in sarcastic and laughable conversation.

The gorgeous day wasn't lost to a birthday party and soccer though. Chris found time to complete some handy man work with his trustee helper. OK, actually Jackson and I hunted for bugs while Chris worked. : )

With Jackson becoming ever more daring and confident on his bike, I decided to shake things up a bit and suggested a small ramp. This was a hit! No pun intended...as you can see from the picture Maggee was getting in the way of the bike. No worries, she darted across unscathed.

One of our neighbor boys joined us for some basketball and gymnastics last evening. He's working on the table top move in gym so he taught Jackson.

As part of gym they were also learning about cartwheels, roundoffs and hand stands. He mastered all of them but the round off. Having LOVED this kind of stuff all my life I demonstrated. This was so much fun! After watching me a dozen times or so he finally completed one all on his own. I'm not sure whose smile was larger, his or mine.

Chris and I were playing a friendly game of basketball that turned into a slam dunk contest. I knew I didn't stand a chance at this so I decided to photograph instead. Chris had a blast trying different dunks, he even used Jackson as a prop to leap over.  I enjoyed watching him have so much fun and I laughed so hard my abs hurt!

OK, stop laughing. Yes, I finally got into the groove and made a few dunks. I was laughing so hard through most of these though I could barely complete them...Chris wasn't helping things either. : )

Air Jordan.
I'm certain after seeing me doing cartwheels and flips in the front yard and watching Chris and I dunk like crazy white people our neighbors think we're certifiable. We don't care, it's all about having fun.
