This weekend we had to stick close to home due to a work commitment Chris had on Saturday. But that didn't stop us from being busy, it never does!
We started the weekend off by going to an outdoor show at Lambeau Field. Jackson (and I) loved the giant grizzly bear and dog jumping competition, the rest of the event was so-so. We wrapped up Friday evening with a bottle of wine and in the good company of the Koles'. Jackson loves Jamey and Crystal, I think it's because they always engage him when they're here and he loves the attention! He was up until 11 pm and slept in until 9 am, he has never slept in that late before. It was awesome!
The majority of Saturday was dreary so Jackson ad I got crafty with macaroni art and finger paints. When Chris got home we headed to the outlet mall for MUCH needed shopping for Chris and I. Five hours later (UGH!) I was more than ready to be home, Jackson too (we don't like to shop for clothes, Chris does).
Sunday more than made up for Saturday, it was beautiful! I started the morning off with my long weekend run (6 miles is long for me now) while Jackson and Chris started in on our list of outdoor things to do. I am wrapping up the weekend with two loaves of apple-walnut bread in the oven. The apples on our tree are perfect and I'm scrambling not to let them go to waste. We'll be pulling bread from the freezer all winter if I keep baking at this rate.
That's it, that was our weekend, more of the same : )
