This past weekend Michelle was away in Iowa celebrating her Parent's 40th wedding anniversary (which also happens to be Dan and Holly Bacon and Mike and Mara Syring's anniversary) and her sister Jen's 38th birthday! Oh, and yes, Jen did have brain surgery (all went well thank God!).
While Michelle was away I found out it is exhausting keeping up with a three year old by yourself. Saturday alone we ran four errands at four stores, went to the library to return books and DVDs and get new ones, went to the county fair, went and check on food plots and run trail cameras, mowed the lawn, vacuumed three floors in the house, made supper (we had lunch out), did laundry, and washed the kitchen floor. We also found time to spend one hour on the swing set as well. I believe he was testing me and I still ran three miles when he went to bed, I went to bed not longer after though.
Sunday was spent fishing and cleaning the house until Mom returned. All-in-all we had a great weekend of bonding and guy time (see picture of Jackson peeing in the water while fishing; I missed the photo op peeing by the gas pump while getting fuel and pooping in the hay field). As Jackson put it, it's great to have Mom home though as the whole team is now here.
