Last week our "new library" (as Jackson refers to it) hosted the Green Bay Kennel Club as part of their children's series they do on Monday evenings. Jackson and I attened, along with a good showing of other children and parents. The Club demonstrated obedience and agility (of the dogs, not the kids) and suprisingly the children stayed on their 3x3 carpet squares for almost the entire 11/2 hours (I would have bet against those odds)! I left with the confirmation that my dogs have zero obedience or agility and I have failed as a dog owner. Jackson actually made the comment, "Maggee and Gabby don't do that."

Saturday Chris and my Dad went to Whistling Straits to enjoy the PGA Championship. A HUGE thank you to my Dad for offering a ticket to Chris; he is still smiling and recounting the day. With Chris gone it left Jackson and I a whole day for mischief. That included a trip to the zoo, a picnic, a trip to the library, making a get well gift for his Tanta, lots of imaginary play and bike rides. We literally didn't stop until 7 pm, it was a good day!

Sunday we went to the Timber Rattlers game with the Evenson's. I left my camera in the car so there are no pictures. If I had remembered the camera you would have seen the kids playing, running and laughing. There's nothing like 3 hours at the ball park with friends to wear out the kids. While the kids chatted and played the afternoon away, us adults enjoyed some enjoyable conversation and laughs. I'm convinced that for sanity's sake, play dates for adults are needed just as much as play dates for children.
