Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day weekend was spent going, going, going! We met up with the Evenson's and spent the weekend with Lisa, Merrick and Sophia going to the park, getting ice cream, heading to the farmer's market, swimming, going to the zoo and cooking out. It was busy but the kids (& adults!) had a great time. The kids did a thorough job of wearing each other out. It's always fun to watch them interact and teach each other new things. Since Jackson doesn't have a sibling this social interaction is very important to me. Thank you to the Evenson's for a fun weekend!

It's good to have Dad home (Maggee agrees)!

How do these goats not weigh 500 pounds with all the food the kids feed them?!?!

The kids introduce themselves to the 'cow' (it wasn't a cow but I can't remember what this thing was)

Train Time! I don't think this thing had any shocks (ouch!).

Dad, do you hunt those?

He's old enough to be put to work. I'm sure the 'big boy helper' novelty will wear off soon.

He didn't get an elk out west but he got one for our anniversary!

(This figurine is actually a red stag so I had to cut out an elk face and tape it on. Note the 'arrow' with fletchings and all. I'm proud of my diarama!)

Awesome Elk/Stag hybrid Michelle! You've created a new species of Cervinae, the Stelk!

We just missed each other at the zoo. I was there with the kids on the labor day weekend too. Must have spent $20 feeding those darn goats but it kept the kids happy for a long time.

AWESOME and I mean AWESOME diarama. I laughed so hard! I hope Chris found it just as humerous. Haven't thought about a diarma since 6th grade! You're definately hired when Autumn has to do her 1st one...
