I left Green Bay for Kirksville on Thursday morning to pack up Mike 7 Mara for their big move. We left Friday morning and after 33 hours in a car, following Mike in a Penske truck, we (Mike, Mara, Rohan, Linus and Schroeder (their two dogs)) made it to Scottsdale, AZ on Saturday evening. They were very sad to leave Kirksville (ha, ha).
Mara will be doing 2 years of clinicals here, preceding her 3-4 years of residency. It's a beautiful place, this is my first time in AZ since I was about 4 years old. I didn't believe it but 100 degrees in a dry heat really isn't that bad.
Chris and Jackson to arrive tonight (Monday) and I can't wait for them to be here to enjoy the scenery and weather. Mike & Mara are pretty well settled in after a couple days of rearranging, pitching and unpacking. Now, let the vacation begin!
