And I thought last Saturday was busy....

Chris had a day-long industrial chemist seminar on Friday in Chicago so Jackson and I tagged along. We left Thursday afternoon and got as far as Sheboygan when we realized that the portable DVD models I had been researching for a future purchase could wait no longer. So about 1 hour south of Green Bay we stopped at a Best Buy and bought a portable DVD player and some DVDs. Life was good from there on, aside from the 5 o’clock Chicago traffic, the two pieces of wall board that flew off a construction vehicle hitting ours and the a-hole driver who tried to out run us on I-294 after it happened. Note I said “tried to outrun us”; we caught up with him at one of the interstate Oasis off ramps to exchange “pleasantries” and contact information.

Once we got to the hotel Jackson was quick to explore and marvel out the giant window from the 7th floor. Friday morning we dropped Chris off at the seminar and headed back to the hotel to run the halls, play with the life-sized gorilla in their pool area and take a nap. The rest of the afternoon was spent at the Aerie Forest Preserve walking around the lake, chasing the geese and taking the stroller around the preserve. Jackson and I really enjoyed this time.

We picked Chris up about 3 pm and headed to the Wisconsin Dells for a Bacon-Syring family farewell get together. That post will be coming soon!
