I’m fighting something and don’t feel the best so I’m going to bullet the highlights of the week and weekend and let the photos tell the rest.
• Monday: Jackson had an in-service day at daycare so I took off work for the first half of the day and Chris took off for the second half. The day consisted of a lot of coloring, play-doh, errands and a trip to Scheel’s with dad.
•Friday: We had a goofy family night in. You'll the photos of Jackson and I playing in the kitchen. He was wound up, the dogs were wound up and it seemed to be contagious because soon I was too. It was a circus.
• Saturday: I ran the longest I’ve run since being injured 4 months ago, 6.6 mi. It hurt initially but after the leg loosened up it felt awesome. Still shooting to run a half-marathon on the treadmill by the end of March. Hopefully I’ll be heading outdoors to run soon after that.
• Saturday: We went to Appleton to shop and Jackson stayed with his G&G. All the way to Appleton it was “Grandma? Grandpa?” over and over and over…. I wish they could hear how much he misses them when they’re not around. I’ll try and video it next time.
• Saturday: Hockey game, see previous post. This was lots of fun but wore the little man out.
• Sunday: we all slept in until 7:30 am and then I made a big blueberry pancake breakfast. Jackson LOVES to help “cook” (play at the sink).
• Sunday: We were greeters at church. Jackson’s scowl (lack of sleep) wasn’t the most welcoming of faces to see when people first walked into church. He was also a little less than cooperative during the service; this isn’t out of the ordinary. Thank God the rocking horse that was left a couple weeks ago was still there. However, this didn’t occupy him for long…he tried to make a break for it through the doors side doors (see peaking photo in slide show).
