Saturday night Jackson, Chris and I met the Evenson’s at the Gambler's Hockey "Teddy Bear Toss" game. The bears are given to a local hospital and then given to children battling cancer. There was a record 6,021 bears thrown onto the ice after the Gamblers scored their first goal. Sophia, Jackson and Merrick had a blast dancing to the music played throughout most of the game. We bought a puck for $1 to “chuck a puck” onto the ice for a prize, Jackson was more interested in eating it. I’m sure there’s nothing growing on that thing. Oh well, with two dogs I’m certain he has been exposed to worse!
At the beginning of the 3rd period we had to call it a night. Jackson’s crankiness was getting too much for Chris or I to bear. It was about 9:15 pm, well past the normal 7:30 pm bedtime. All-in-all, it was a great night out of the house and fun time with friends.
