On Monday, the most beautiful fall day you could imagine, Jackson had an in-service day at daycare so he and I had a whole day together. I had the best time with my little man, he was so well behaved. I started the morning (4:45 am...UGH)off with a run before anyone got up, this ensures I can handle whatever the day brings. I returned and Jackson and Chris were just getting up. After Chris left for work Jackson and I packed up the dogs and headed to Baird's Creek Parkway for a hike. Maggee ran so much she decided to cool herself by wallowing in a mud puddle. I'm thinking she learned this from her cousin Lucy (Mike & Mara's dog). Thanks Mike.
After the hike we headed to Starbucks to enjoy a tea (me), the paper and playtime in their outside seating/grassy area. In the meantime, Maggee became a caked mess in the back of the Trailblazer. Home we went...bath time for Maggee. She's lucky it was 60 degrees, even if it weren't above freezing I was not letting her in the house as messy as she was.
The rest of the day was spent weeding the flower beds, playing outside and running a couple errands. We made a trip before nap time to Target and apparently I wore Jackson out because he was nodding off in the cart (success!). We also fit in a trip to a local running store so I could get some night-time/early morning running gear (I now look like a glow stick). You could tell the man helping us doesn't have children because when Jackson filled his pants with his caustic teething poo I thought the man was going to either kick us out or puke. He may have done the latter after we left : )
That was the day. Once Chris got home I headed for an hour-long deep tissue massage (worth every penny). That was the cherry on top of my great day with Jackson.
And FINALLY, after 1 1/2 years of looking and researching I bought my/our treadmill tonight!!!!!!! I ended up with a Life Fitness T3 Advanced. It comes Thursday and I'm already drooling.

Mara can't wait to use your treadmill. You're both crazy like that...
