We played around with new foods this weekend. Mostly fruits since that's what Jackson has the hardest time eating. I've been hiding them in his pancakes and breads but he really just needs to take a liking to them...or at least one! It was interesting watching him try the whole apple. Despite the photo he did like it and ate about 1/8 of it. The watermelon was a hit as long as he was holding the slice. As for the fig newton, well he loves those and was giving me a heart attack by two-fisting them into his mouth (sorry if that photo grosses you out).
On a separate note, my lovely brother sent me part of my birthday gift. It's a cow can that moos. Yes, you read that correctly, a can that moos. There's a running joke between the two of us about this red barn we had when we were kids that when you opened the barn door it hit a metal reed that sounded more like "mahhhh" as it vibrated than "moooo". I would liken it more to a dying cow than anything. So this can isn't too far from what that barn door sounded like.

I've been looking for those all over the place!! Where did Mike find one? One "young" store clerk didn't have a clue what I was referring to!
Need a calf to go with that moo? The bull calves aren't worth a whole lot right now....
How appropriate that Jackson can have the can immitate Mommy!! The video is great!!! I love that smile!!!
