Last Friday Chris and I went out with friends and Jackson went to Grandma and Grandpa's house for the night. We had a really great time and Jackson was a good boy for his grandparents. The next day was beautiful out so we hung out outside with Jackson and the dogs. Chris got some great photos of Jackson while I "controlled" the dogs. It was a really great weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
It's good we enjoyed the happy moments when we did because ever since Tuesday Jackson has been fighting a 103+ fever and it NOT a happy camper (I don't blame him!). The doc says it's a combo of teething and a throat infection and he'll have to get through it with a cocktail of Tylenol and Motrin. We're getting through it with 4 hours of sleep a night and juggling time of work. We're hoping he fights this off by the weekend since we're FINALLY expecting temps in the fifties and want to get out and enjoy!!!!
I almost forgot to add a big milestone. Jackson is off the bottle and formula and on to sippy cups and whole milk. We started the transition before the recommended 1 year mark anticipating a rough go of it but he did remarkably well and has been bottle/formula free for 2 weeks. Man is time flying by, every milestone brings with it excitement and a twinge of sadness as I know he's growing up!

:-( sorry to hear he's not feeling well- Sam is the same- bad chest cold though. As the Doc called it "an upper respiratory infection aka a common cold." Also doing the motrin/tylenol cocktail... :(
