Thank God for Family

Those of you who know me or my family know that my Grandma is the Matriarch of our family. We all love her dearly. As we become more geographically isolated from her it's becoming more important that we stay involved with her health and keep in touch. We had the opportunity to meet with her doctor last Friday and on short notice my entire family rearranged their schedules to be back. My brother came up from MO and my parents and I headed back from WI. It was time to show Grandma how much we care about her and we did that with our presence.

Last weekend was full of quality family time, Jackson was able to have lot of fun with his cousins, Tanta Jen, Uncle Mike, Nana and Grandma and Grandpa Syring. He even managed to pet Jen's dog, Shelby, a couple times without yanking on her hair. A new milestone, Jackson learned to wave this weekend and managed to stand all by himself and drink out of his sippy cup. He is getting to the point where he'll stand by himself and try and take a step but falls....he's getting so close to walking.

The photos in the slideshow document some of the lighter moments from the weekend. Quick note, I poke fun at my brother a lot in these photos. Those who know him understand that he likely deserves every bit of it.

Mara shared about your Grandma - we are keeping her in our thoughts and prayers.
Thank you for your email, too.
All those babies on Tuesday - life goes on....
