Jackson Gets Baptized!

What a wonderful weekend!
Despite the warm temps the weather was gorgeous for the arrival of family and friends for Jackson's baptism. The service was great and despite rumors among my family, I did NOT slip my child Benadryl, he was actually that good on his own : ) Jackson is notorious for screaming at inopportune times; the baptism seemed like a forgone conclusion. He actually was asleep for the service until the water was poured on his head which caused his arms to flail like he had been pinched, it was quite funny but I'm sure he didn't think so. I actually think Jackson behaved better than my brother, but that's not saying much if you know Mike : ) OK, in all seriousness this weekend meant a lot to Chris and I. We have found a great church in Green Bay and to have our families there to share in such a huge event in our young family's life made the weekend all it could be.

After the service we went back to our house for lunch before everyone had to hit the road. Chris' brother had to fly back to San Diego (yes, he flew in from SD for the baptism!), my sister, her family and my Grandma had to get back to Iowa, Mike and Mara headed back to Milwaukee, Dan and Holly had to get back to Amherst and my parents needed to get back to Appleton. I have to thank EVERYONE for their help this last weekend. Between bringing food, helping with Jackson and reminding me of things that I would have inevitably forgotten about everyone was such a huge help!

Next weekend we make the trip to MO to help my brother move. It'll be interesting to see how Jackson does on a 9 hr car trip (one way)...maybe Benadryl isn't a bad idea!

Hi there,
Gary and I just watched all your videos. I am sure glad that you have this site, so we can see the changes in Jackson. Glad to hear he is doing better. I know all about that, as Eric was that way. Have a great weekend, and talk with you soon.
Love,
Nancy
