And Now We're Ready....I think!

Well, I had my last baby shower on Wednesday. There's a group of women at my work who get together every so often for what we call 'Girl's Night Out' (GNO). I received so many NICE things and I now I feel like I can officially say we're ready. Unfortunately, I don't know what the hell we're preparing for given this is our first child so 'ready' means I'm confident the baby will survive it's first couple days at home : ) Here are some photos of the fun baby shower evening.

Other than the shower nothing else new on the baby front. Chris and I are anxiously awaiting he/she's arrival causing time to creep by. Supposedly exercise will induce labor so we're taking lots of walks and I'm still (awkwardly) doing the elliptical machine at the YMCA. I'm trying to keep up my normal routine at work as well. Friday I spent the morning with a consultant walking the right-of-way of one of my power line projects. I must have looked ridiculous 2-weeks before my due date out in my hard hat, steel-toed boots, high-vis vest, protective eye wear, etc trying to negotiate the terrain. Oh well, it'll be a good story for the baby some day....it'll legitimize s/he's perceived lunacy of their Mother!
