Surprise! Now Let's Get Muddy!

Chris was in Canada the majority of last week and was pretty homesick, so were we. Typically when he comes home he drives from the airport to home and we welcome him home there. This time Jackson and I decided to surprise him and welcomed him home when he got off the plane.

 

I picked Jackson up from school and we were off to pick up our sign supplies. Our plan was to make the sign at the library (had to return books anyways), however just as we sat down to make the sign a voice on the intercom says, "The library is now closed. Please proceed to the exit". Crap. I thought it closed at 6 PM not 5 PM. So we headed to the airport early and found a corner to spread out and make our masterpiece.

Dad finally comes through the doors and sees us.

Jackson was hugging him before he could even put his bags down to return the hug. This was precious to watch.

NOW LET'S GET MUDDY!!!

 

Chris and I and some friends of ours ran the "Hot Mess Mud Run" this last Saturday. Chris and I are flying out to AZ in February to do the Tough Mudder with my brother's team so this was a nice preview. We're super psyched for the Tough Mudder now, we both had a blast doing this!

We had fun making these shirts and got a lot of comments. One lady even had us pose for a picture.

 

Obviously this is post-race. However, this is after I had rinsed off. I'll have post-run, pre-rinse photos once the event publishes their professional photos.
