Vacation Post 2: Sea World (Warning: lots of photos)

Beyond the photos, I'm not going to go in to all of the details about our time at Sea World other than to say if you have never been you should go and that it far exceeded our expectations. Chris and I enjoyed our time there as much as Jackson did!

Our time in Orlando was precious, a family vacation where memories were made. There will be many more to come...

Enjoying the dolphin nursery (photo above), trying to get a peek at a 3 day old baby dolphin (see photo below) It was porpoising next to it's mother.

Killer whale show was awesome!

Ahhhh, hotel life.

Jackson in his change of clothes to enjoy time at "Happy Harbor", an area for kids where they can get wet and play.
Feeding and petting the dolphins
Mid-day at the dolphin show. This was 6 hours into a 13 hour day. It was about 99 degrees with 90% humidity and our faces showed it. Ice cream at least added smiles to our tomato faces!
More ice cream. This ended up being our lunch. Too hot for anything else.
Jackson and I on our first, and last, roller coaster. Half way through he leans in to me and says, "I don't like this ride at all!" Me, "Not much I can do about it at this point buddy."
Nearing the end of the day. We were wiped but having a lot of fun!
As part of the back stage tour we purchased Jackson got to meet "Shamu" (in A/C!)
I find his choice in shirts that morning interesting.
Eerie.
Glutton for punishment we came back to the park after a quick dinner at the hotel to enjoy Sea World's "Summer Nights" shows. These shows and the fireworks were well worth the trip back in the heat and humidity. We had a GREAT time this evening!
You can't tell but Jackson and I have small fish between our fingers that the sting ray is trying to take from us.
This was sweet. A mother sea lion and her 2 week old pup.
The underwater conveyor through the shark tank. Jackson and I were mesmerized.
One of the best parts of the hotel: a Starbucks coffee bar! I was in 7th heaven!!!!
Walking with flamingos. Literally, the handlers take them for walks around the park to stretch their legs. It's the weirdest thing seeing a 'herd' of flamingos walking down the path.

Wow, that did look like an AWESOME vacation. Your pictures of the killer whale show were great, so crisp and clear and you captured the action. I foresee us visiting Sea World some day.
