'Tis the Season

Surprise! Christmas is just around the corner! That's how the Christmas season presented itself to me this year. It wasn't until we spent the better part of an afternoon and evening getting the house Christmas-a-fied that it hit me, Christmas is 1 month away! After the initial panic (I have given ZERO thought to presents this year) it also hit me that we're leaving for Arizona in less than a month. Yipeeee! Then panic set in again...what to pack, what to ship, how to orchestrate Christmas 1,000 miles away, how to pull off an early Christmas at home......and then I stopped.

I realized I was getting caught up in the exact rat race of the Christmas Holiday I vow not to every year. Christmas isn't about being stressed out, panicking due to lack of presents or the logistics of a family vacation. Maybe to some it is, to each their own. However, Christmas to me, and the message I want to convey to Jackson, is that Christmas is about so much more than that.

My two goofballs. I love this picture of the two of them!

The wonderment of Christmas...

Annual Stokes Christmas Tradition: Ringing the bell for the Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign. Nothing brings in the dough than a 4 year old ringing a bell, in an Aaron Rodgers jersey, saying Merry Christmas!.
Shamless ploy but for a good cause!

Hey, I love your new background! I recently discovered an easier way to change the background on our blog too.

Tis the season is right! What a great idea to have a 4 year old in a Packers jersey ring a bell! Go PACKERS...what a season so far! After yesterdays Bears game I don't think our Packers will have any problem beating those pesky Bears on Christmas day!

Your tree is a very nicey match-y-match tree. Our's is full of all kinds of ornaments that I'm sure will multiply with new crafty ornaments that Henry makes.

AZ for Christmas sounds great to me! What a nice trip that will be.
