It's winter here in Wisconsin and there's nothing I can do about it so when a nice day presents itself we must get out and enjoy it! Saturday was just such a day so we hit the nearby sled hill. We were lucky enough to meet up with Jackson's best bud from school, Drew. Drew's brother (age 6) was also there and the three of them enjoyed may races and tandem rides down Meadowbrook's sledding hill. The highlight of the afternoon was Jackson trying his hand at snowboarding for the first time. He jumped right on and down the hill he went. While I don't see the X Games in his near future, he did enjoy it and wanted to keep trying. We'll be looking for one of these intro boards for him to play around with on the hill in our yard.
We also hit up another winter time event, hockey. It was the Green Bay Gambler's Teddy Bear Toss game. People bring stuffed animals to the game and when the Gambler's score their first goal everyone throws their stuffed animals onto the ice. All the bears go to cancer stricken children at area hospitals. The event was a success with two records set on Saturday:
Teddy Bear Toss attendance: 7,778
Teddy Bears Tossed: 7,006
