Finally, Halloween arrived. Jackson and I had been crossing off days on the calendar for two weeks and every day seemed to drag on, I can't imagine how he felt! Well, it was worth the wait. We really enjoyed getting out and meeting neighbors as we trick-or-treated and Jackson could barely contain himself as the candy reached the top of his bucket. And at our house I was glad I bought extra bags of candy, as we had more kids trick-or-treat at our house than in all the years combined that we lived at our old house.
My parents came up to hand out candy while Chris and I took Jackson and one of his friends (a neighbor boy) trick-or-treating. He made out like a bandit, the cute costume helped. At one house a kid said to the women handing out candy, "Why does the cute one get the most candy?!?!" I laughed from my view at the end of the driveway. I'm enjoying the cute giraffe costume; all too soon he'll be some master of death character or action figure.
For being my least favorite holiday, I really enjoyed this Halloween. It's funny how kids change your perspective on things :) Now what in the hell do I do with all of this candy?!?!
