On the Mend!

Many of you are aware through Facebook that my Dad had a benign tumor removed from his salivary gland this past week. Having never heard of such a surgery my family and I were weary of the outcome. The doctors prepare you for the typical and extreme outcomes (mostly relating to temporary and/or permanent paralysis of the face), so that's what we expected. To everyone's relief, my Dad came through like a champ (thank God)! He has a little numbness and a healing scar but with the help of some nice little white pills he's sleeping well and managing the pain as he mends.

We stopped by my parents on our way back from Milwaukee yesterday to check in on Dad. It was all Jackson talked about all day, "When are we going to see Grandpa?", "Are we at Grandpa's yet?", "Grandpa's getting better, right?", "The doctor fixed Grandpa?".....
It's funny how a three year old can ready his Mom's mind.
