A long weekend leads to three GREAT Mommy, Daddy, Peety days!

The Holiday weekend started off with a Band.  Friday nights in Green Bay there are musical acts that play on the boardwalk next to the river and this week we witnessed an Old Time Brass band called the Newtonburg Band.  Jackson was into the music (see toe tapping video) but the music soon lost out to the Grand Opening of the Splash Park on the boardwalk.  Drenched from the fountains and listening to music was a perfect back drop to the glorious weather we had Friday night.

Last Swim Session and Friday's on the Fox

Saturday was spent at a new park to us, Ashwaubomay. It is 84 acres of ball fields, open fields, playgrounds, and a man-made lake for swimming. We spent all afternoon there swimming, flying Jackson's new kite and having a picnic. That night Jackson got to spend the night with his Grandparent's from Appleton. Michelle and I spent the next 15 hours packing and staging for the pending move to our NEW home next week, we are very excited as you can imagine.

Sunday we spent the day at G and G's where we swam and played at a park by their house, Plamann Park. The swings and slides were usual hits but the added petting farm was the cherry on top of the Sundae.

Monday the weather went south, actually way south. It was down right tropical with the humidity, heat and RAIN! We did manage to play inside and practice writing and drawing. Jackson went to see his first movie at the Marcus Movie Theaters. Toy Story 3 was sold out so we were left seeing Shrek 3. Jackson was not enamored with Shrek and we left 2/3 of the way through the movie. The rest of the day was spent playing soccer (inside) and getting ready to move next week.

Lastly, we have to say congratulations to my sister as she starts a new job on Tuesday (same bank, new location). We're very proud of you!

Ashwaubo-what?
Can't wait to get the boys together at a SplashPad! Will they even be running in Sept or will there be snow on the ground? :)
