Friday a colleague asked me, "Are you feeling OK?" I said, "I'm fine." That was the polite answer I was giving despite feeling absolutely awful.
You see, Friday I went salmon fishing, like I have done previous years with some utility colleagues. This year, however, the boat was a little smaller and the waves were a little larger. When I was asked, "Are you feeling OK?" my colleague must have see my face change colors as we readied to set the first line. The last thing I wanted to let on was that I felt like I was going to hurl over the side. So I responded, "I'm fine." That response lasted all of 10 minutes, at which time I was heaving over the side. I took some Dramamine (which I had never taken) and turns out I'm ultra sensitive to it and ended up sleeping with my head on the side of the boat for 45 minutes, completely oblivious. I felt like such an ass. To make matters worse, the Dramamine didn't help.
We were out on the boat for 5 hours. That was 5 hours of hell for myself and two other co-workers who also succumbed to the turbulence of Lake Michigan.
My view from the boat near the outrigger where I hung my head most of the trip. At least the scenery was beautiful.

Oh Crap!! And this fishing trip was to be a stress releiver (per your text message)??? Not so much, huh?? Too bad you felt so awful ~ the scenery looks like it was beautiful. Love ya...
How is the world did you last 5 hours! That is just miserable!
LOL. I do the same thing on small boats & big waves. Good thing the didn't mess with you while you slept. It's would be great to see you wake up with a salmon on your lap...:)
Three out of how many were sick? Didn't that say something to someone??? Take me to shore, immediately!! I don't care if we are 10 miles out! That's just cruel!
