Through my work we organized a relay team for this year's Cellcom Green Bay Marathon. To our satisfaction, we raised more than $1,000 for local organizations!
We had a perfect day with no logistical snafus. I have to say, this was the most fun I have ever had in a race purely because I wasn't running for a time, just for fun (staying pain-free). To my surprise I averaged 8:29 min/mi pace, much faster than I intended. I found it easy to run since I wasn't fixated on my pace and instead enjoyed the people, conversation and crowds.
The funniest conversation I overheard was between two men at mile 3. One man noted he was chafing already and the other asked about his underwear type. Apparently he hadn't chosen wisely and the other man chastised him about how "marathon training starts with the underwear!" The other man remarked, "this probably isn't going to be good at mile 26 is it?" OUCH! Did his training teach him nothing?!?!

Yeah, you gotta learn the hard way, it starts with the underwear. Too bad the guy had to learn on a 26.2 and not a 5K or something!
Glad you had fun and the knee didn't bug you (what about afterwards?).
Remember to rest once this week...:P
