Score!

You can't go wrong with a little boy when you suggest hiking, hockey and building a tent as part of your weekend plans.

Friday we took an evening hike in Baird's Creek and looked for sticks, animal tracks and open water; it was like a nature scavenger hunt. What we found was a gorgeous sunset.

Saturday we took advantage of family night at a Gambler's Hockey game. Who can resist $1 'hot dogs' (sorry, these make me gage) and soda (the size of thimbles)? Never-the-less, Jackson loved the constant music and excitement and Chris and I were thankful that the people in our row let us sit on the end. Jackson squirmed, danced, jumped, ran, you name it, the entire game. This would have been a nightmare if we had sat in our assigned seats, smack dab in the middle of the row.

Sunday morning Jackson jumped into our bed at 6 am and began pretending the sheets were a tent. I suggested making a tent with room service downstairs. As a two (almost three!) year old, you can't pass up such an offer. So, Jackson started Sunday morning out in a tent, eating pancakes and watching a new cartoon called "Chuggington". What more could he ask for?

Chris should do magic since he can make an elephant appear out of no where...:)
Glad to see Jackson is really loving the outdoors, and even starting to appreciate the scale of things outside! It's really fun to watch, and hopefully Rohan can take after him.
I may have to start calling Jackson "Buckwheat"...:P
