Wenndt Family Christmas 2009

Last Saturday (11/28) the Syring Family hosted the 2009 Wenndt Family Christmas at Faith Lutheran Church in Eldridge. It was a bitter sweet celebration.

The bitter part being that we held my Grandma's funeral service at this location just 1 month prior and her birthday was the next day (11/29); she would have been 81.

The sweet part was seeing all of her/our family come together to enjoy each other and celebrate the Christmas Holiday. She would have been happy to see the children doing Christmas crafts, Mark sitting on Santa's lap to celebrate the birth of his first child, a table full of sheep's head players, children running all over when Santa arrived, and, as always, tables upon tables of food. What Wenndt Family Christmas would be complete without Bill & Judy's succulent ham, Grandma's custard pie (for Bill!), pfeffernuse, cream filled cupcakes, meatloaf, cheesy mashed potatoes...... Did I mention there was a lot of food?!?!
