With Chris hunting Saturday, Jackson and I had the afternoon to ourselves. We decided to tap into our creative sides, or at least his because I don't have one. It's amazing how long paint and construction paper can entertain a 2 1/2 year old. His imagination is growing leaps and bounds by the day and I love the unpredictability it brings, except when it catches me off guard like it did when I filmed this video...
His other paintings were for: Mommy, Daddy, Grandma, Grandpa, Santa and Santa's Reindeer.
In the beginning...it was neat and tidy
In the end...not so much. What do you expect from and artist when they're creating!
After fighting the crowds for Jackson's new shoes he and I enjoyed some tranquility at the wildlife sanctuary. I must have been a glutton for punishment because we headed home and decided to tackle Christmas cookies. Surprisingly, once Jackson heard they were for Santa and his reindeer he was very helpful and serious about what he was creating...I said serious, not neat. But that was half the fun!!!
Saturday was wonderful, I love and treasure those special times with him.
I've got the goods, let's cook!
My little elf
He got a little carried away with the sugar...I'll bet those cookies taste the best!
Santa and his reindeer won't go hungry
