Weekend of Reunions

I was lucky enough to be able to combine a family reunion and a friend reunion in the same weekend. Jackson and I started our weekend a little early and left Thursday afternoon for Iowa. We stayed at my sister's house through the weekend, thank you for the hospitality Bowers' family! (Chris rode down with my parent's Friday night)

Friday morning we went with the girls as they got on the school bus. As you can see, Jackson was big help in getting Kaylee to the bus safely.

Friday morning Jackson and I visited the bank my sister works at. He had been awoken from a nap for this visit so he was less than pleased with me, or anyone else for that matter. After the visit we headed to my friend Shawna's beautiful house in the country where Jackson got to play with her little sweetie, Will, and Leah's two cuties, Caden and Parker. After scarring the cows with our curiosity and then scarring us with their odor, we settled for letting the boys run around outside while we gabbed and caught up. Later on we met up, sans children, and enjoyed a fun evening of dinner and drinks. I can't remember the last time I laughed that hard. Thanks to the both of them for the fun evening; an encore is in the works.

The next day was my family reunion on my Mom's side. It was held at Scott County Park, just outside of the town I grew up in (Eldridge, IA). It was a gorgeous day with great food and conversation. It was good to see everyone again!

The weekend wrapped up with us heading back to Green Bay earlier than planned to clean the house for an afternoon showing. We quit getting our hopes up but some traffic is better than none!
