Ever since Jackson went to a big boy bed (last Christmas) we began saying prayers with him as part of his nightly bedtime ritual. After the "Now I lay me down to sleep..." (standard prayer) he begins his 'list'. This 'list' includes Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Grandparents and their dogs (he loves dogs).
Every now and again he'll throw in the name of a friend(s) he played with that day or a dog he saw. For example, when we returned from our AZ trip this summer we were saying prayers and Jackson said "God bless Abbers, 'The Biz'". Abbey, nicknamed 'The Biz' is the name of Greg and Nicole's dog with whom he fell in love with during our visit.
The video below is kind of long and there's no picture (it was recorded during his actual bedtime routine and he likes his room dark) but I had to capture this sweet ritual. As designated by Jackson, I am 'the chosen one' at bedtime and I relish this title as this ritual is fastly becoming one of the most cherished parts of my day.

How precious! No wonder you love that time with him!
Ahhhhh! That just melts my heart! What a sweet little voice.
Awwww, so sweet!!! I love him!
That's almost too cute...:)
At least he said my name this time and didn't keep shouting Linus (AKA Anus).
I think that is quite possibly the sweetest, cutest and most precious thing I have ever heard! What a great way to end the night!
