Where's My Bow?

It's already started, Jackson wants a bow. Our family spent some time Saturday afternoon shooting our bows. Chris is getting set for an upcoming elk hunting trip and I just wanted to go to shoot (I don't hunt with my bow but enjoy shooting it). We were loading up the bow cases and Jackson was asking, is that "Mommy's bow?" and "Daddy's bow?" and finally, "Where's Jackson's bow?" We had to explain to him that he doesn't have one but he'll get one when he's older. You can imagine how that response went over.

At the range Jackson did really well. He patiently waited on the picnic table while we shot and then followed us to the targets to retrieve our arrows. He was intrigued by the lifeless coyote target, he kept looking back at it every time he walked away. I think he thought it might come after him.

Each time Chris and I let and arrow fly Jackson would say "great job Mommy/Daddy!" I hadn't shot for over 10 months so I braced myself for the worst but was pleasantly surprised. Chris shot well too, not surprisingly though, he always does.

As we pulled away from the range there was an immediate request from the back seat, "Lets do that again!" Most definitely Jackson!

I said a prayer before letting the first arrow fly. No one got hurt : )

I think Jackson's cowlick has sharper points than my arrow. I'm about ready to start spiking his hair and just go with it.

My arrow grouping @ 20 yds. I was very happy with this.
