Home of the Hamburger!

If you've never heard of the small town of Seymour, WI, all you need to know is that it's the "Home of the Hamburger". Every year they have a festival with a parade, etc. So we packed up and headed to Seymour, about 35 min from our home, to enjoy the small town parade. This year's theme was 'Burger Fiesta'. The parade was surprisingly long, over and hour, and delivered on all fronts. There was candy, balloons, tractors, firetrucks, clowns, horses, dogs, marching bands......

The highlight of the parade was when a firefighter stopped his truck during the parade and called me over to hand me a child-sized firefighter's helmet. Jackson was on cloud nine and I was smiling from ear to ear and thanked the man a thousand times. Jackson's waving and expression on his face as the firetruck approached is likely what won him that special hat.

When we got back home I was cleaning out on of the window wells around the house and found a mouse 'friend'... Reverting back to my younger, tree-hugging days, a catch and release was performed.
