To celebrate my Mom's birthday my sister Jen drive up from Iowa Friday night and stayed at our house. The next day we all headed to the Appleton Farmer's Market to meet my parents. They had no idea Jen was in town. My Mom was SHOCKED to say the least as she saw Jen walking across the street. She had started to say to my Dad, "Hey, that woman looks a lot like Jen" but trailed off as she realized it was her. After the happy tears were wiped away we headed off to enjoy the farmer's market and then back to the condo for a nice lunch and swimming (Jackson, Mom and myself...I'm still trying to get warm).
Mom and Dad went out for a birthday afteroon/evening and Chris, Jen, Jackson, Grandma and I all hung out. After Jackson (and some of the adults) got up from their afternoon naps, we headed to the mall. Grandma was having an excellent day so we took advantage of it and stayed out well past both her and Jackson's bedtime. Jackson was up until about 9:45 PM when we finally headed back to Green Bay...Mom and Dad were still living it up on the town : )
Mom, I hope you had an awesome birthday weekend, you deserve it to say the least. And THANK YOU to Jen for making the trip to Green Bay. It was great having you stay with us. You and your family (& the dogs) are welcome here anytime!!!
