You know it when you pick your son up from daycare and the teacher tells you he was so tired he fell asleep into his lunch and then conks out at at 6 PM that night. So, do you think Jackson played hard this weekend?
I've blogged about the rest of the weekend but left out Saturday and Sunday. Saturday, the 4th of July, we headed to Neenah for Communityfest. Our goal was to get Jackson on a horse for the first time. Of course he was put on the largest horse and had a moment of panic but no time to freak before they started moving, then he was fine and even went around a second time (on a smaller horse the second time). He also enjoyed the other animals and emergency vehicles on display. We visited the firetruck 4 times and battled cries as we left for good.
After a nap we headed over to the Evenson's to grill out and let the kids entertain us while we enjoyed some adult interaction. I don't think the kids stopped moving for the the entire afternoon and evening.
The following day we enjoyed our typical Sunday ritual of Starbucks, coffee & the Y(me). In the afternoon we went to the Thoresen's and let the kids run the show while we enjoyed the beautiful weather 'poolside'. It's awesome watching Jackson and Cody play. I enjoy watching him study Autumn and Cody's every move and mimic them.
Thanks to our friends for having us over!

Holy crap does Jackson look grown up in those pictures!
Wait until you get Rohan and Jackson together, then Rohan will be the one doing the studying!
I love the photos when you catch them unawares - our Sam is a real cheese-ball, too!
Such a nice picture of you two watching the boats pass by!!
