Tuesday we got to spend some special time with my nieces, Taylor and Kaylee, who were visiting from Iowa. They were up for the week, enjoying some much loved time with their Grandma and Grandpa. While I didn't get to see them as much as I would have liked to, it's always fun to be around them and Jackson ADORES them. One thing that was shocking to me was just how fast they are growing up!
Friday we headed to Appleton to see my Grandma at the rehab facility. We wanted to be sure we visited her since my parents were back in Iowa. Jackson enjoyed rides around the courtyard on his Na-Na's lap while I pushed. He was pure entertainment for us all and lifts Grandma's spirits which makes it worth every second. We're happy to announce that she was released from the rehab facility today and is back home (my parent's house). Based on my conversation with her on the phone this evening she couldn't be happier and feels like she's in a palace compared to the facility (I would have to agree).
Friday evening was movie night. We popped some popcorn and enjoyed the Disney movie 'Cars'. Jackson made it through about 2/3 the movie before getting antsy and raiding the toys. I was impressed with his patience for the movie and with the movie itself; it was a good flick. Given his better than expected attention span and sheer excitement over the concept we'll be sure to do movie nights more often!
