Toddler Bed Time!

For Christmas Jackson got a toddler bed and this weekend we decided to make the transition. I have to say I was a bit apprehensive, assuming this was going to be pure torture for everyone but to my amazement it has gone smooth so far. Saturday morning we put the bed together and further child-proofed his room. He took a 30 minute nap in it in the morning and then played HARD the rest of the day. First sleep in his bed:

At 4:30 pm he crashed as hard as he had played. He slept from 4:30 pm until 6:30 am the next morning in his new bed! It's rare he sleeps that long, let alone in a brand new bed! Putting the bed together was a riot, for everyone. Here are some snapshots of the morning fun:

Before the 16 hour marathon sleep Jackson started acting loony, our cue he's past tired and not giving in. I grabbed the camera to video him in all his looniness. This is only a fraction of how goofy our child was being:

I had to slip these two photos in. Jackson doesn't like fruit unless it's paired with a carb (banana bread, blueberry pancakes, etc). Never-the-less I'm relentless about cycling through different fruit in the hopes he'll acquire a taste. The apple wasn't a hit..

Great job on transitioning to the toddler bed!! What a big boy! I remember when we moved Payton, being apprehensive as well and having visions of him wandering the house at night! He transitioned with no problems as well. I think it is more of a milestone for mommy then the kiddos!! They don't even seem to notice!

I have to agree with Michael - I was sure he was talking about McD's too!
Cool bed, by the way!
When Grandson Sam gets tired, he puts it in 4 wheel drive and runs into things!
