Did I Just Say That?

"Jackson, we don't drink out of our potty's."

Let me explain....We bought Jackson a potty chair and have been keeping it in the bathroom just to get him used to having it around (potty training seems a long ways away). Today Jackson decided to take it apart and was using the reservoir that you normally dispose of in the toilet, as a cup. After I uttered the above statement I started laughing and said to Chris, "Did I just say that?". Awesome.

The rest of the morning proved to be just as comical. We weren't headed out the door until 9 am so we had time to kill this morning. Jackson hasn't fallen for TV yet but loves songs. I stumbled upon nursery rhymes on YouTube and he was in heaven. We sang what seemed like 100 songs when I stumbled on a song my family sang when I was growing up, Little Bunny Fu Fu. I thought this was a song my Mom made up, apparently not. The first video and song Jackson and I watched was cute:

The next version we watched was not so cute:

My Grandma is up visiting from Iowa so this afternoon we all went to the YMCA to watch My parents and Jackson swim and go down the slide. They swam for 1 1/2 hrs...Jackson was asleep 2 minutes after we left the Y but was wide awake for dinner out. He was a handful but what do you expect from an exhausted child in a crowded restaurant on a Saturday night? : )

Side note - the photo of Jackson with nail polish is for my Mom. When Mike and I were little I got a hold of nail polish and brought it to my Mom as she slept on the couch and asked her to open it. In her slumbered stupor she did and Mike and I painted the kitchen cupboards....Jackson wasn't allowed to keep these bottles for long.

That's hilarious! We sang that as kids too! I thought "kissing" on the head was different, since we always sang "bopping" -- don't like it as much after seeing the second video!! :) I think we'll have to change it to kissing when Cameron's old enough!

Ok, which version did you sing...cause Trish and I remembered "bopping" on the head...course we didn't have the visuals (videos)....were we a little warped back then??!! Thanks for the memories!
