Jackson took quite the "lickin'" today at his Grandma and Grandpa Syring's house. He was trying to get under a tall plant stand when his leg got caught on a cross bar and he took a digger face first into the opposite side of the plant stand. Of course his Grandma and Grandpa feel horrible but Jackson moves SO FAST now a days you can't possibly prevent every bump and bruise. It's OK mom and dad, he's fine!
Jackson had spent the night and his Grandparents so Chris and I could go turkey hunting (THANK YOU MOM AND DAD!). We got up at 2:30 am and headed out to Waupaca...yes, that's 2:30 in the morning! We hunted for about 9-hours and got close to about 3 birds and were caught by 3 others. It was an exciting day but no bird to show off. Bummer. On a brighter note, we did stop in and say hi to Holly and a quick hi to Dan as he hurried off for piping for a new pivot they're installing. It's always such a pleasure to talk with Dan and Holly and I always seem to learn something each time. This time I learned a little about The Weavery and the three looms Holly has. I Love it! For those not familiar with Dan and Holly they are my brother's In-Laws. They own a dairy farm in Amherst, WI and allow Chris and I to hunt on some of their land.
After hunting and picking up Mr. Jackson we got home with enough light to reseed some areas of the lawn. I was scrapping the dead grass off and putting it into a bucket. This was great entertainment for Jackson and us! Let me assure you that he did get a bath tonight.

It was so nice to see the two of you, but next time bring Jackson, too! I think I ran into those three turkeys that got away....
