Intriguing title, huh! Here's the story....
Last night we found a baby squirrel balled up in our lawn, in our dogs area no less. Chris found it after he almost ran it over with the lawnmower. It had already managed to keep hidden from the dogs (no idea how...smart squirrel or dumb dogs?). Our neighbor came over and said she had been watching the squirrel as it moved through her backyard. It managed to make it out of her yard without being attacked by any of her FIVE cats (again, smart squirrel or dumb cats?). Another neighbor came over and said they had just rescued another baby squirrel off Deckner (busy street next to our house). I have no idea how it didn't become road mash. It just so happens that I work with a guy whose wife does animal rehab so we boxed up the two squirrels and off they went. The update this morning was that they were being introduced to formula and were doing OK. I know, there is no shortage of squirrels but I couldn't knowingly let these babies die.
The other photos are from my parents house last weekend. They bought Jackson a little chair to keep at their house, he loves it! Thank you!!!
Finally, the photo of him with his jacket at the door demonstrates his love for being outside...ALL THE TIME. He grabs his jacket and walks to the door and hits it while making a noise that I think means "outside?". It's cute until there's a day it's raining and he throws a fit because we can't go outside.

So can we expect you to bring a squirrel treat for Lucy when you come down next month?
I think they actually sell squirrel here at the redneck farmers market outside the Wal-Mart so we can always get some to grill...:)
I bet you came up with names for them and even a song...we know you had a song, don't lie...
Boy was Chris brave picking up those squirrels. I love the chair for Jackson. It is adorable!
I guess some squirrels are smart unlike the many you see crossing powerlines or tree limbs and then later you see a very dead squirrel on the road.
Alright Jackson has his very own easy chair now, I love it! He looks quite proud sitting in it!
