Today we headed over to Bacon Farms to say Hi to Dan and Holly. We happened to catch them during lunch and were able to spend some time with them before they had to head back into the field. Jackson loved exploring the new surroundings and was especially interested in the cats. I think it was Fozzy who went under the bed to "escape". Jackson proceeded to lift up the bed skirt, wave to him and say "HI". Fozzy wasn't amused : ) After saying HI to Dan and Holly we headed over to their calf barn to show Jackson the babies, I'm a sucker for the little calves myself. He couldn't stop looking from cow to cow, I think he was overwhelmed by the duplicity of the animals, who knows. All-in-all a nice trip to the farm (beautiful day!). A BIG thank you to Dan and Holly for letting us "city folk" provide our son with the farm experience. It's always fun to see you two and hang out at the farm!

The calf out with the dry cows was only a few hours old. They are cute, aren't they? Part Jersey, for calving ease for the heifers.
It's good to see that Jackson liked the cows!
