Breaking your funny bone.....not so funny!

My Mom fell hard last week on her elbow and now has a radial fracture in her radius at the elbow joint. She's out of commission for 6-weeks, and that includes no driving! I would go nuts. After the 6-weeks are up the orthopedic surgeon will take another look at her fracture and determine if surgery is necessary. Say cheese Mom...what a good patient!

We went to my parents house Sunday while we had an open house at our house, one couple showed up...nice . Anyway, as you can see we were quite the crew at the Syring house. Not only does my Mom have a fractured arm, Jackson and I have/had a touch of the flu. This is the "hospital" scene with Dr. Larry on call.

Thank God I have a great husband (THANK YOU HONEY!). Chris took care of Jackson and I on Saturday when I was at my most miserable. Then on Sunday he sent us to my parents house early so he could finish cleaning the house and then went to church to follow through on the coffee/cookie duties we volunteered for for the Palm Sunday service. He joined us later at my parents to find a very clingy and unhappy Jackson. Check out this video I took, this is what he did almost the entire weekend.

He went to bed tonight at 5:30 pm but has been up every 1/2 hour since (it's 8:00 pm right now so I should hear him any moment). This could be a long night! But I can't end this entry on a pessimistic note so here is a photo of Jackson at one of his happier moments this weekend : )

Ahhh, I hope everyone starts feeling better soon! Jackson is growing up so fast, you'll be glad you have so many videos! He's a handsome little guy!

Sorry to hear that you folks have been sick! And about Deb's arm, too - bummer! Does it affect her work? You all take care of yourselves now, you hear?
