I never realized how excited I would get over all the little things that Jackson learns to do on a daily basis. It fascinates me that he knows to make certain signs with his hands when he wants something, or how he has learned to chew his food and not try to swallow it whole. I've been waiting with baited breath for him to choke on whatever was in his mouth. Three times I had to pull him from his highchair and pound on his back to get things unlodged from his throat, not a pleasant experience for either of us. Now, he actually uses the two tiny bottom teeth he worked so hard at getting! Recently the walking and crawling thing has amazed me. He loves to walk from thing to thing and behind his little hippo "walker" across the room. He gives me a heart attack as I wait for him to fall but that's part of the learning process and both he and I are getting used to the falls and occasional bumps. Yesterday he tried the stairs and shows promises of soon conquering them. What kills me is that he'll try something one day and a week later he'll have it mastered. Here is some video of him walking along the chair and trying out the stairs.
I've also included a photo of him wearing his "I Love Tanta" shirt he received from his Aunt Jen. "Tanta" means Aunt in German....my Grandma started this and Jen has affectionately become known as "Tanta Jen" or "Atnat" (long story).

I guess that makes Uncle Mike "Tanto"?
