Jackson is now 6 months old and everyone was right, time is just flying by! He has really gotten to an unbelievably fun stage learning to sit up, crawl and laugh uncontrollably. We've had a lot of firsts in our house with many more to come but one first we had last Friday wasn't so enjoyable. Apparently the flu (intestinal type) is running rapid at Jackson's' daycare. Friday night he ended up throwing up all over in the car to my parent's house and then all over down there. Nothing has been harder to date than watching my child vomit and dry heave into a sink knowing there was nothing I could do for him. Starting Friday evening he quite eating all together which panicked me. Fortunately he likes grape flavored Pedialyte so he subsisted on that for two days. He is just now getting back to being himself and eating normally but he's still sleeping a ton trying to recuperate.
To make things even harder, Chris and I caught the bug and were literally laid out Sunday and Monday. I haven't been that sick in as long as I can remember; I couldn't even stand up it was that bad. To have Chris and I that sick at the same time made it impossible to take care of Jackson. So Monday he went to daycare all day and that evening my Mom came up and helped (THANK YOU MOM!!!). Thank goodness Jackson was in bed at 6:30 pm, we followed soon after and we all slept through the entire night. I hope NONE of you get this illness, it was unbelievably bad.
On a more pleasant note, we FINALLY got good photos of Jackson and a family photo to boot! Who would have though the church directory photo shoot would produce decent photos!!! We're ecstatic since the little man would not cooperate with a professional lens the first 5 1/2 months of his life. Hope you enjoy the sideshow of those photos and some other miscellaneous ones I through in.

I love the photos Michelle! The one of his face looking right into the camera is AMAZING! And your family photo is just perfect, you guys are such a beautiful family.
I'm so sorry Jackson was so sick, watching your babies vomit is totally one of the most painful things. I've been through it a few times now and it doesn't get easier, maybe even harder as they get a bit older! Hearing Maegan say "it hurts!" and "why???" as she puked was tough. I'm so glad your mom was close enough to come help out!
Can't wait to see you guys in a couple weeks!
love, erin
He has got GORGEOUS blue eyes! Sorry to hear you all were so sick though...we've avoided that...so far! How much is he weighing these days?
