Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving was a great time. It was the longest trip taken with Jackson so far (5-days) and I managed to remember everything but a battery charger for my camera. Thank God for Black Friday, a willing Mom and Sister and Best Buy! Jen and Tony were nice enough to give up their master bedroom and bath for Chris, myself & Jackson which really helped. We appreciated all their help and hospitality (THANK YOU!!!). Jackson LOVED seeing Jen, Tony, Taylor & Kaylee and was constantly entertained by them and Shelby the dog. Shelby was entertaining for us as well.

Mike & Mara surprised the family by showing up on Thanksgiving day for a few hours on their way to MN for Sam's baptism(Mara's Nephew). Mike played a joke on me that he will greatly pay for. For a good laugh (at my expense) visit his blog link on the right hand side of my blog. Hilarious Mike, you will pay....

On Friday I got together with some good high school friends and their children. Erin (and her 3 girls), Shawna (and her daughter and one on the way!) and Leah (and her son and one on the way!). It was so great to catch up and see everyone. My only disappointment was that I didn't take ANY photos! What was I thinking!!!

On Saturday we had our extended family Christmas with all the Aunts, Uncles and Cousins on my Dad's side of the family. It was such a fun time and family who hadn't see Jackson yet had a chance to meet him. Jackson had his first encounter with Santa and did remarkably well. He loved Santa's suit and beard. Thank goodness Santa didn't mind the little guy pulling at his beard. Saturday evening we gave Grandma her birthday gift (she'll be 79 on 11/29) and sang to her. It's always great to spend time with her and I know she treasures those family gatherings.

Sunday we went to breakfast with the family and my Aunt Jan and Cousin Jerry (my Mom's side of the family)joined us at the Machine Shed before we headed out. A great way to wrap up our trip. By the time we got back to Green Bay I was wiped out and ready for a vacation from the holiday trip.

Now Chris and I are looking forward to taking Jackson to FL Dec 6th to visit his Grandma (Chris' mom) for the first time. We'll be there for 9-days. I hope Jackson does well on the plane! I'll be sure to post photos from that trip....can't wait to get there!!!
