This had to be the best Labor Day weekend weather ever and we took advantage of it. Saturday we hiked and toured some of the waterfalls in northern WI. It just so happens that a project I'm working on is located near one of the falls so you'll see the transmission lines and the substation in a couple of the photos. We took the dogs with us and they had a blast! They slept the entire time we were in the car but when we stopped they were ready to go again. Sunday we went with a guy Chris works with and his family out to Bacon farms to hang a tree stand a check a couple cameras. We all pretty much watched Chris and Chad do the work but it was great to walk around and be outside. Jackson was digging all the outside time. Then on Monday we went to Point Beach State Park. This is a dog-friendly state park along Lake Michigan about an hour from our house. So off we went with the dogs and Jackson to the dunes and the shoreline. Again, what a beautiful day. To wrap up the wonderful weekend Jackson rolled over for the first time for us on Sunday afternoon. He rolled from his back to his stomach going after a toy. Now he just likes the idea of rolling and won't stop. I hear that once they start rolling over you're happy but when they begin to actually move you wish they didn't because you spend your time running after them constantly. For now I can't wait for that but talk to me in 6 months or so : )
